Colorado Springs Cajun! – FOOD FOR THOUGHT
An employee’s review and opinion of a local
Colorado Springs eatery,
Culpepper’s Cajun Kitchen.
Arrow employee Tricia’s review of her dining experience at Culpepper’s…
“If your in the southwest area ofColorado Springs, say aroundFortCarson, there is a nice little eatery to stop for a fast lunch when you doing your Saturday errands, if you need the “bite of the bayou” experience take Exit 44 off of Hwy 115 and go into the shopping center.
The Owner suggested that since I had not been there before to order the ‘combo plate’. The music totally keeps you entertained and is a nice selection of Louisiana Cajun beats…..the platter arrives…….with generous little cups of GUMBO, RED BEANS & RICE, CRAWFISH ETOUFFE AND MAQUE CHOLIX. Slap Ya Moma cajun seasoning is delicious! Just the right blend! The music, the food and the happy faces gave me energy to finish my Saturday errands. Next time I’m trying Aunt Sallie’s Praline’s!”
From their website:
There’s a reason that the Gazette keeps awarding the “Best of Cajun” First Place Reader’s Choice Winner 2008-2011. Offering the very best of traditional Louisiana cuisine, the atmosphere is casual and comfortable with beautiful mountain views. Servings are made-from-scratch classics: gumbo, fried catfish, jambalaya, crawfish etouffee, red beans & rice, po-boys, beignets, sweet tea and much more!
