Hard to top this survey…

This is one of the cutest things we have ever seen come in for the crew. Jose and Phillip from Arrow of San Antonio, made a great impression on this young shipper.

Arrow appreciates all input and comments from our customers, but this one is extra special!

Wondering what to do with that last bit of Easter ham?

Ham & Swiss Loaded Potatoes!

Stuffed with chunks of Swiss cheese, ham, scallions, and sour cream, these nifty little spuds can be put together at the last moment for a quick weeknight supper. Potatoes bake in the microwave and then crisp up under the broiler.

Recipe: 4 baking potatoes (about 1 1/2 pounds)

 • 1 cup diced Easter Sunday ham (about 6 ounces)
 • 1 cup of your leftover green bean casserole
 • 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Swiss cheese, divided
 • 1/2 cup thinly sliced green onions, divided
 • 1/2 cup sour cream
 • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper no salt (Ham is salty enough)
 • Preparation

Pierce potatoes with a fork; arrange in a circle on paper towels in microwave oven. Microwave at high 16 minutes or until done, rearranging potatoes after 8 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes.

Preheat broiler.

Cut each potato in half lengthwise; scoop out pulp, leaving a 1/4-inch-thick shell. Combine potato pulp, ham, cheese, green bean casserole, green onions, sour cream, and pepper.

Spoon the potato mixture into shells. Combine 1/2 cup cheese and remaining green onions, and sprinkle over potatoes. Light sprinkle of salt/pepper on top. Place potatoes on a baking sheet; broil 4 minutes or until golden.

ENJOY WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS!

HOT DOGS ARE THE 2012 TREND!

<img class=”alignleft wp-image-1855″ title=”food for thought” src=”http://blog.arrowmoving.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/knife_and_fork-600×400-300×200.jpg” alt=”” width=”300″ height=”200″ /><span style=”font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12px;”>In a new state-of-the-food-world trend report, a group of analysts has come up with a list of food fads predicted to dominate 2012. Topping the list is the ever delicious HOT DOG. From Hollywood celebs to New Jersey politicians the Hot Dog is taking over.

<span style=”font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;”>This is how some fix ‘em!

<span style=”font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12px;”>New Jersey<span style=”font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12px;”>
<span style=”font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12px;”>New Jersey’s potato dog includes diced stewed potatoes combined with brown mustard served on a spicy hot dog. A traditional Newark Style Dog (also called an Italian Hot Dog) is made by cutting a round “pizza bread” in half (for a double) or into quarters (for a single), cutting a pocket into it and spreading the inside with mustard. A deep-fried dog (or two if it is a double) is put in the pocket, topped with fried (or sautéed) onions and peppers, and then topped off with crisp-fried potato chunks. A quicker version of this, often simply called a double dog, can also be requested at some lunch trucks, luncheonettes and pizzerias. Then we have the rippers, hot dogs deep-fried to the point where the sausages burst open, resulting in a dense, caramelized outer casing. The rippers are served with relish, a blend of mustard, onions, carrots and cabbage.
<span style=”font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12px;”>Illinois
<span style=”font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12px;”>The Chicago-style hot dog is a steamed all-beef, natural-casing hot dog topped with chopped onions, sliced/diced/wedged tomatoes, both a dill pickle spear and sweet pickle relish (a particularly bright green style of relish, referred to as “neon” green relish), yellow mustard directly on the sausage, pickled sport peppers, and is finished with celery salt, and served on a steamed poppy seed bun. Chicago-style never includes ketchup, though some vendors offer small packets of the condiment for those wanting to add it.
<span style=”font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12px;”>California
<span style=”font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12px;”>In Los Angeles, Pink’s Hot Dogs promotes its celebrity customers and its chili dogs, the latter of which come in a wide number of varieties.
<span style=”font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12px;”>Some of the hot dogs include Hot Dog On A Stick, which serves a preparation similar to a corn dog and the street vendors in Los Angeles also serve the “Downtown Dog” a Mexican-style bacon-wrapped hot dog with grilled onions, jalapeños, bell peppers, mustard, ketchup and salsa as condiments. Oki Dog, in West Hollywood, or Oki’s Dog, on Pico, serves the Original Oki Dog—two hot dogs on a flour tortilla, covered with chili and pastrami and wrapped up like a burrito. Also common are bacon-wrapped hot dogs, often served with toppings such as fried peppers and onions, mayonnaise, pickles etc. Locals sometimes refer to these treats as “death dogs” or “heart attack dogs”.

<span style=”font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12px;”><a href=”http://arrowmoving.net/residential-corporate-movers/2012/04/hot-dogs-are-the-2012-trend/800px-chicago-style_hot_dog/” rel=”attachment wp-att-2507″><img class=”aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2507″ title=”800px-Chicago-style_hot_dog” src=”http://blog.arrowmoving.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/800px-Chicago-style_hot_dog-300×225.jpg” alt=”” width=”300″ height=”225″ />
<p style=”text-align: center;”><span style=”font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif; font-size: 14px;”>Arrow says make up your own hot dog combination and enjoy!
