Arrow Helps Local School with Annual Fundraiser

Cheyenne Mtn Indians

On behalf of the Cheyenne Mountain High School PTO, thank you very much for your generous support of our 3rd annual Garage Sales and Boutique.  The year’s sales helped raise money for CMHS Grants Program, which funds essential events, programs, and materials for students, teachers, and administrators at the high school.  We appreciate you providing crates, warehouse space for the storage of our items, Mobile Storage containers, and the equipment to relocate all the necessary items, and your wonderful crew members, because we could not have been as successful without your involvement.

Chief Executive Officer – Lynn Barry

Arrow Moving & Storage participates in Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo

Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo

In July 2011 Arrow Moving and Storage sponsored a team in the Wild Cow Milking Contest at the 71st Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo.

Team members were David Patterson , Cody Patterson, Kevin Brown, and Jeremy Grein.

The Wild cow Milking Contest is held on all 4 days of competition during the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo. There are 4 preliminary rounds held Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night and Saturday afternoon. In each go round there are 8 teams of 4 members who all go at once. Each cow is haltered with a long lead rope and is held in a chute. The team’s milker is given a standard long neck bottle to collect the milk in. Once the chute is opened the team must hold on to, settle down, and milk the wild cow. The team must get enough milk into the bottle so that when the judge turns the bottle over at least 1 or 2 drops of milk exit the bottle. The first 2 teams to finish earn a spot in the championship round on Saturday Night. The winning team on Saturday night is awarded with a traveling trophy, a gold championship rodeo belt buckle, and a $1,000 donation to a charity of their choice.

The Arrow team participated on Thursday night which was the annual Tough Enough to Wear Pink night. They donned the Arrow Moving and Storage uniform shirt as well as a couple of pink bandanas to show support for cancer awareness. They did quite well for not having participated in the competition before. If not for a miscommunication in who the judge was they would have placed 1st or 2nd and would have gone to the championship round on Saturday night.

The Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo is held every year at the Norris-Penrose Event Center to help raise money for local Military. The Arrow Moving and Storage team has said they’ll be back next year for sure.

“We wanted to say that Markel Latham was very professional and has helped us out tremendously.  Every time I had a question she has answered and explained everything to me.  She also gave us her cell phone number so that we could get a hold of her anytime.  After the items were delivered my fiancé mentioned that Cedrick Johson, was very professional and did a great job.  He worked non stop was able to have everything done in two hours.  We appreciate your help with our relocation and would defiantly use Arrow Moving and Storage again in the future.”

“We contracted with Arrow Moving and Storage an agent for Mayflower Transit with the verbal understanding of a “Zero Ding” policy for the building and ur furniture.  Trevor Imani, a member of the sales team, took his tie off to personally oversee the move, install protection in the hallways and elevators and help the team move to avoid delays possibly caused by my company.  Arrow Moving and Storage, Trevor Imani and move manager Jeff Remond finished the job on time, within the contracted amount and finished the job truly ding free as promised.  This team takes pride in their work, work together as a team and I would recommend this team to anyone.”
